Cooking Class

Cooking Classes returning January, 2018!

Pat will be returning to the North Coast Food Web kitchen next year as we
continue our World of Spice cooking class series.  Look for Lebanese, Ethiopian,
Vietnamese as well as Northern Indian and Moroccan!  Classes will be held the
last Wednesday of each month starting in January.

Second Saturday Art Walk

Art Walk     Saturday, November 11, 2017      5:00-8:00pm

This month we will be sampling cocktail bitters and syrups from The Bitter Housewife.
Spice up your cocktails with old fashioned or cardamom bitters or perhaps a smoked tea vanilla
syrup!  Be sure to check out their new cocktail kits.  They make great stocking stuffers!  We will also be tasting olio nuovo.  The new oil will be available soon and we will be taking pre-orders!

 

Book Signing

Book Signing                Nov. 14           11:00 am- 2:00 pm

Local author, Muriel Jensen will be in the shop signing copies of her
newest book.  All proceeds from books sold that day will go to the
Lindstrom family of Danish Maid Bakery.  Light refreshments will
be served.

2nd Saturday Art Walk At Pat’s Pantry

February 14th  –  5pm  –  Raising the Dough for North Coast Food Web

Please swing into Pat’s Pantry for a taste of the best artisan soup and bread in Astoria and support the North Coast Food Webs “Raising the Dough” kitchen campaign!  Brandon Massey from Astoria Coop is preparing the savory soup and from Blue Scorcher’s ovens Felix Ward is creating some never before seen bread delight!  100% of donations go to NCFW. Please help us, help them.  See you February 14th during Art Walk!!

Spice 101 Class

March 25     6:00 pm

If you are looking to add more flavor to your food, learn more about using herbs and spices or want to expand your spice usage beyond salt and pepper than this class is for you.  We will explore the difference between herbs and spices, discuss ways to get the most flavor from your spices, and provide tips on purchasing and storing spices.  This class is complementary and starts at 6:00pm.

Have you heard the buzz about shrubs?  Interested
in fermented foods and beverages?  In this class you will
learn to make your own shrubs, taste a variety of shrubs
and take home recipes for mock-tails, cocktails, vinaigrette
and marinades made from shrubs.                           Fee     $10.00
