Pat & Tom in San Francisco

Tom comes to Pat’s Pantry with wide and varied culinary dining experiences that span literally dozens and dozens of countries around the world over the past 50 years. Read: he loves to eat and knows good food when he eats it. Growing up 100 miles south of Astoria, this area has always held a personal charm and attraction, so when the brainstorm hit him and Pat one weekend while they were vacationing here the dream became a business plan which developed into the reality of Pat’s Pantry.

Pat LOVES food; whether cooking, eating, reading about, taking classes, volunteering at the local farmer’s market or traveling it is always about the food. Pat’s hobby-turned newly found career is bolstered with a background of learning experiences at farmers’ markets doing food demos, numerous cooking classes, a stint as a personal chef and working for the last few years at one of the larger commercial spice merchants.

Pat has a deep appreciation for locally grown and made foods as well as the wonderful flavors and aromas of spices from around the world. Her motto is eat locally, season globally!
