Chicken Shawarma

Chicken Shawarma
Serve this with warm pita bread and a salad of romaine, cucumber, tomatoes and red onion!

  • 1 tsp. cumin. ground
  • ½ tsp. coriander, ground
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. sumac
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • ¾ tsp. black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1½ lbs. boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Combine spices, olive oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl
  3. Add chicken and toss to coat
  4. Spread on a rimmed baking sheet and roast until done, approximately 15 minutes
  5. When chicken is done, thinly slice and serve with warm pita bread, yogurt tahini sauce and salad. Top with fresh dill and mint if desired.
